Arctic Rescue Victoria Inc. is a brand new not-for-profit organisation setup to assist with the re-homing, rescue and fostering of arctic breed dogs. The website is a very important tool for the organisation as it allows them to promote dogs that are ready for adoption or in need of foster care. As a volunteer run organisation, the ability to collect donations online as well as sell tickets for fundraising events helps raise funds so the organisation can keep saving dogs in need. Arctic Rescue were the recipient of on of three $5000 web development sponsorships that Web Prophets offers each year to not-for-profit organisations.
The Mornington Peninsula and Western Port Biosphere Foundation approached Web Prophets to redevelop their website. Seeking a new, fresh look the website needed to aid the organisation by presenting its projects clearly to the public, and encouraging support through membership, donations and volunteering. Recognised by UNESCO, The Biosphere is a unique area on the outskirts of Melbourne which seeks to create a sustainable balance between the goals of conserving biological diversity, promoting economic development, and maintaining associated cultural values.
Able Australia required the redevelopment of their website. The project was driven partly from a rebranding strategy, the need to have a CMS which would be easier for staff to update, and to assist the organisation move into the competitive space that the NDIS will present in the future.
Key features which were important to the organisation was the need to better communicate the services offered in different states around Australia; the ability to easily grow these services, and being an organisation that services people with multiple disabilities we needed to ensure that the site content was easily accessible for everyone.
The Walking Company already had an ecommerce website established when they approached Web Prophets. The site had been set up some months earlier but needed a face lift and a bolder ‘call to action’ for potential customers.
Mangkaja Arts is funded through a range of Government agencies. Other operational income is derived from commission from sales.
Mangkaja came to Web Prophets with a tight budget, but with the need for a website to promote the artists and art of the region as well as the online sales of some items.
